The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:• a game system was stolen from a residence in the 1600 block of third Street between 8 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Monday.• a toolbox was stolen from a 2005 Chevrolet truck parked in the 1900 block of Thomas Avenue sometime before 8 a.m. Monday.• mark Martinez, no address available, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting at Albertsons, 600 N. Guadalupe St., at 3:48 p.m. Monday.• a backpack, a laptop computer and two MP3 players were stolen from a residence in the 2200 block of Miguel Chavez Road sometime before 1 p.m. Sunday.• Three cases of Mountain Dew soda were taken from the bed of a 2000 Chevrolet pickup parked in the 1000 block of Calle Margarita between 10 p.m. Dec. 29 and 11 p.m. Thursday.• an iPod and a velvet jacket were taken from a 2011 Ford parked in the 2400 block of Camino Capitan sometime between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:20 a.m. Monday.• a wedding ring set, a leather jacket and CDs were stolen from a 2003 Chevrolet parked at the Regal Santa Fe Stadium 14 movie theater, 3474 Zafarano Drive, between 8:05 p.m. and midnight Friday. Entry was achieved by knocking out a keyhole, police said.• a sterling silver concha belt set with Sleeping Beauty turquoise valued at $2,800 was stolen from a shop in the 200 block of Canyon Road sometime between Dec. 31 and Jan. 6.• a cellphone and wallet were stolen Tuesday from a residence in the 2100 block of Ridge View Circle. the unknown suspects gained entry into the house by throwing a rock through a window, and left behind traces of blood.• a Santa Fe woman told police her purse was stolen in 1999 and someone has falsely used her identity four times since then.• a bicycle and gift card were stolen form a home in the 1500 block of Fourth Street on Tuesday. the unknown suspect gained entry to the house by throwing a brick through a window.• a Santa Fe woman reported that she received a call Monday from someone telling her she had won a $2.5 million sweepstakes prize but needed to pay $442 to receive her winnings. She paid the amount and “was a victim of a Jamaican phone scam,” according to the report.• two laptop computers with a combined value of $2,000 were stolen from an unlocked residence in the 900 block of old Santa Fe Trail on Tuesday.• someone rifled through some drawers in a house in the 3400 block of Todos Santos on Tuesday. nothing was reported missing.• a male and female entered a jewelry store in the 600 block of Canyon Road on Sunday, distracted the sales clerk and stole three silver necklaces with a combined value of about $1,400.• someone broke the glass pane of a door to a residence in the 800 block of Don Diego Avenue on Tuesday. nothing was reported stolen.• a man attempted to steal about $800 worth of merchandise from a lingerie store in Santa Fe place mall Tuesday by hiding it inside his coat. he was detained.• two flat-screen televisions and a camera were stolen Tuesday from a home in the 600 block of Quapaw Street.• a woman who sold a vehicle to a car dealership in the 1700 block of Cerrillos Road took the vehicle back after she had already been paid sometime in the past week.• on Tuesday, someone broke a window on a home in the 1200 block of Zepol Road.• a Santa Fe woman reported her 17-year-old daughter had run away from home Tuesday, and the teen was suspected to be headed to Lake Tahoe, Calif.• someone failed to return a moving van rented earlier this month from a rental company in the 3500 block of Cerrillos Road.• a “scanner” was stolen from a locked cabinet at the Sangre de Cristo Water Division on West San Mateo Road sometime between Jan. 6 and Wednesday.• Cosmetics valued at $550 were stolen from a vehicle in the 2500 block of Sawmill Road sometime between Monday and Wednesday.• Trenton Simpson, no age given, 410 Nazario St., was arrested on charges of battery of a household member and false imprisonment Wednesday after allegedly hitting and choking his wife and trying to keep her from leaving the house.The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the following reports:• a 55-inch flat-screen television and a laptop computer were stolen Monday from a home on Calle Debra in La Cienega.• an Edgewood man told police Monday that he had received a letter informing him that he had three outstanding warrants and $1,040 worth of unpaid citations in the state of Texas, but said that he had never received any citations in Texas and believed someone else had used his identity.• Robert Hill, 56, of Cincinnati was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct Monday after a complaint from a convenience store on Vista del Monte that a man was harassing customers. Police asked Hill to leave the property, but he refused and was arrested, according to the report.• David Baca, 31, of Santa Fe was arrested Tuesday on a charge of concealing his identity after reportedly providing a false name and birth date to police.• a resident of a mobile-home park on Ash Street told police Tuesday that sometime around Oct. 17, a family member took a passport and tools from his home.• a resident of Edgewood reported that he surprised a burglar at his home Tuesday and that the suspect fled with two remote controls.• a woman in the Rabbit Road area of Santa Fe reported Monday that she had received a letter indicating she owed $481 for Internet services she had never purchased. She suspects someone in Virginia is using her identity.• Michael Ellis, 41, of Santa Fe was arrested Tuesday on charges of battery against a household member, false imprisonment and interference with communications. according to a police report, Ellis was involved in a verbal argument with a household member that escalated. Ellis reportedly pulled the victim’s hair and forced her into his vehicle while she was attempting to call 911.• a 57-year-old Chupadero woman died Tuesday. She had been a hospice-care patient and passed away due to medical complications, according to the police report. there were no signs of foul play at the scene.• a .40-caliber Glock 22 firearm with tactical light, a Century Arms AK-47 with folding stock, an SKS rifle with scope, four gun cases and ammunition, with a combined value of $2,580, were stolen form a home on Avenida Sonrisa on Tuesday. the unknown suspects gained entry into the home by forcing open a back bedroom window.• Jose Calles-Gallardo, 18, of Santa Fe was arrested Wednesday on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, buying, selling or giving alcohol to minors and resisting or evading police officers. according to a police report, Calles-Gallardo and a 16-year-old male were intoxicated and hiding behind a store on Airport Road.• a garage-door opener and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on old Galisteo Road in the Hondo area Wednesday.• Michael Flores, 23, 15B Sloman Lane, was arrested on a Magistrate Court warrant charging battery of a household member Wednesday.DWI arrest• Monique Baca, 31, of Santa Fe was arrested Tuesday on charges of DWI and child abuse. Baca encountered police after being involved in a three-vehicle crash and was unable to perform standard field sobriety tests, according to a police report. a small child was in her vehicle at the time, and she told police she had taken prescription medication prior to driving, the report said.Speed SUV• the Santa Fe Police Department listed the following locations for mobile speed-enforcement vehicles: SUV No. 1 at Atalaya Elementary School from 7:25 to 8:15 a.m. and from 2:10 to 2:55 p.m., and on Gonzales Road at Barranca del Oro at other times; SUV No. 2 on Don Gaspar Avenue between Cordova Road and Paseo de Peralta.
